Empirical and doctrinal legal studies have started to receive considerable attention. Despite the promise and potential of empirical and doctrinal legal research, global progress on this front has been not very remarkable. This initiative by DME is the result of the realization that legal research is a generally neglected field even in the best law schools. Hence, it becomes important to promote a culture of legal research. A lack of legal research skills and expertise has contributed to the decline in quality of legal research.
The workshop would focus on a range of subjects relating to ELR & DLR. They are given as follows: -
1. Developing research design for Empirical & Doctrinal Legal and Interdisciplinary Research.
2. Developing research proposal with special emphasis on formulation of hypothesis and research objectives
3. Introduction to tools and techniques of research methodology and Reporting of research findings
4. Overview of Referencing techniques and Research ethics
