Guest Session by DME Mentoring Cell

Thursday 18th May 2023, 11:15 AM - 12:15 PM

Hosted By - Mentoring Cell

According to the UN Secretary-General, Mr. António Guterres, “Achieving gender equality and empowering women and girls is the unfinished business of our time, and the greatest human rights challenge in our world.” Gender Discrimination is a common type of discrimination that is happening throughout the world, even in the developed countries.

Gender sensitization is the process through which, we intend to create an awareness regarding gender equality issues and bring modification in the behaviour and views that people hold about themselves and other genders. This process helps in examining people's “personal attitudes and beliefs and questioning the 'realities' they thought they know.”

DME Mentoring Cell – Thrive, is conducting the session on Gender Sensitization, to make the young generation conscious about the issue and encourage behaviour modifications through raising awareness of gender equality concerns.

The session is for DME Law School 1st year students. The Guest Speaker is Dr Shashi Rani Dev, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work, University of Delhi, Member of various committees of DCW and Department of Women and Child Development, Govt of NCT Delhi.
